Joe St. John is a proven leader with real experience managing growth, budgets, and complex public challenges.

Joe currently serves as Mayor of the City of Sunbury, one of the fastest-growing communities in Central Ohio. As Mayor, he has helped guide responsible growth by investing in infrastructure, protecting taxpayers, and ensuring that “responsible growth pays for growth”, not families and seniors. Joe is the only Delaware County politician actively eliminating inside millage for his constituents.

In addition to his public service, Joe is a Senior Vice President in the financial services industry, leading large-scale programs, managing risk, and overseeing significant budgets. This private-sector experience gives him a practical, results-driven approach to government. A government focused on accountability, efficiency, and long-term planning.

Joe has hands-on experience with infrastructure planning, economic development, and public-private partnerships, working collaboratively with cities, townships, county leaders, and state partners to deliver results.

A husband, father, and lifelong Ohioan, Joe believes local government should be responsible, transparent, and focused on service, accountability, and vision; not politics.
